Both apps support auto-discovery of your resources (if your server supports it), so in most cases it is sufficient to enter your server name (and port if you use a non-standard port). If your server is installed in a sub directory you'll have to give the app the path to your server's root or principals home.
In many cases the following instructions will work:
- Server: <servername> or <servername>:<port>
- use SSL: check accordingly
- Username: your username
- Password: your password
For installations in sub-directories enter the path name to your server root, your principals home or your calendar
- Server: <servername>:<port>/path/to/your/resources/
- use SSL: check accordingly
- Username: your username
- Password: your password
Please be aware that (if you're trying to sync with a service provider) the CalDAV and CardDAV server names may not be the same as the service's homepage. Please ask your service provider for the correct server names or URLs.
